Job Description:

Calero Software is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Director, Lean Transformation. If you have a Bachelors' Degree in Engineering or Business, are Black Belt certified as well as have obtained certification as a Kaizen Leader (Lean Practitioner), along with at least 10 years of experience in Operations/Software Development, then this role is for you!

The successful candidate will be someone who has experience in leading and managing organization-wide Lean transformation, including the development of strategy and leading & managing implementation, coaching teams and developing performance metrics.

You will:

  • Be the internal knowledge resource for Lean philosophy, tools and approaches
  • Develop a training strategy and plan company-wide and work with Executives and Management to shape their strategies
  • Lead and shape Kaizen events
  • Define performance measurements and reviews within a Lean framework
  • Mentor and support Managers and teams, working to develop programs and support Lean champions
  • Lead the development of department level performance metrics and regularly report to the Executive Team/Leadership on the progress of Lean Transformation

Responsibility Expectations:

  • Architect, implement and manage organization-wide center of excellence for Continuous Improvement, including methodology, roadmap, capability development, training, deployment and sustainability
  • Partner heavily with business leaders to create and imbed a culture of continuous improvement as a standard operating practice
  • Coach, mentor and provide general support/leadership to the organization on the use of Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement tools
  • Develop, implement and drive an operations/business continuous improvement roadmap that includes project selection methodology
  • Drive value stream mapping to define current and the transition to future state
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, develop a project plan for implementing improvements, monitor the new process and train/mentor those assigned to improvement opportunities, as needed
  • Advise managers and Executives on gaps and opportunities for integration of the business system and process improvements
  • With HR Leadership, help drive all employee engagement activities across the organization

 

Experience Required (but not limited to):

  • Strong math, analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
  • Excellent to Superior written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, negotiation and time management skills
  • Experience developing processes, writing procedures and training hourly/exempt associates
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities, meeting deadlines on schedule and within forecasted budget
  • Ability to create and influence strategies
  • Broad knowledge of multi-functional, multi-state, global organizational processes and financial business methods
  • Detail oriented with the ability to see the bigger picture and envision step-change scenarios
